Saturday night’s bad thunderstorm knocked out telephone service in Paxton, including our service at Nu-tiques at the Barn. We were without phone service all day Sunday and that created some problems for us. But our customers were great about it. The good news is that a Verizon technician came out to the shop Sunday evening and repaired the problem. Our phone service is now back up and running. Thanks to the Verizon for its quick response!
It’s a new day at Nu-tiques at the Barn. This morning one of my sons installed an air conditioner in the shop and it has made a huge difference on a hot day like today. Things are a lot more comfortable to say the least. It’s great for our customers and those of us who work in the shop.
It’s a sales tax-free weekend in Massachusetts. Almost every vendor at Nu-tiques has re-stocked for this weekend. A lot of great new items have been brought in. This is a great weekend to buy furniture. Hope you get a chance to stop and see what’s new. We open at 10 a.m. Nu-tiques at the Barn is located at 486 West St. in beautiful Paxton, MA. If you get a chance check out the new photos that have been posted on our Facebook page. Have a great weekend!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tonya Carpenter and her family. She was the woman who was injured in the horrific accident at Fenway Park Friday night. She is a good friend and we pray for her health and full recovery. You are in our hearts!
Just wanted to take a moment to reflect on Memorial Day and give thanks to all the military men and women past and present and to remember all the sacrifices that they have made for all of us and for this Country! They will always be in our hearts! Happy Memorial Day!
There’s a lot going on in the area this weekend. Saturday is Paxton’s town-wide yard sale and the Asparagus Festival is in West Brookfield. Also, Brimfield Flea Market is still going on. Many of us from Nu-tiques went to Brimfield this past week and brought back lots of great items. We hope you get a chance to stop by the shop this weekend to check things out.
Just uploaded to our Facebook page some new pictures of what is in the shop this weekend. There are some really great items that have been added to the shop. We have some great Mother’s Day gifts at great prices. We will also be setting up outside. We have lots of planters and items to decorate your porches and gardens. Hope that you get a chance to stop on by! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s!!!
